March 9-10  Bagan Myanmar

Three AM wakeup call, quick continental breakfast and onto the bus to get to the airport for a 630am flight.  Travel was by Yadanarpon Airlines flying new Airbus 330s complete with breakfast service on a one hour flight.  They advertise Royal Service, and so it seemed when I wasn't dozing.

Our first stop was the morning market which operates from 6am to noon daily.  A warren of little shops and stands selling produce, clothing, artwork and jewelry.  Best of breed shopping practice would require you to make 2-3 circuits of the shops gathering pricing information before returning to the best shops for the final bargaining session.  Cynthia just bargained with the first vendor that had the little things she wanted, and we were quite satisfied.

Addictive leaf chewed by the locals

We visited two temples, rode a pony cart past several hundred temples and visited a lacquerware factory before lunch.  After a local lunch we checked into the hotel for the Burmese equivalent of siesta.

Selfie, but showing our footwear in the temples

Pictures are just not uploading and haven't all day.  I'll try to publish this and post a second half later when the satellites are more in tune.
