April 2 Shanghai
We're at the Pearl of the Orient. And it must be true, because that's what they named the big tower that looms over the ship as we're docked.
We're doing this port on our own. We take the port shuttle bus for a five minute, one mile ride which drops us off at the very north end of the Bund. We're greeted by the People's Heroes Monument right along the river.
The view across the river. The big ball and needle is the Pearl of the Orient.
Walking down the Bund. After 89 days of beautiful to good weather, the 90th day was the first rainy day in the trip -- at least while in port. We did get some rain on days at sea.
Looks like the crown of the Statue of Liberty
Topiary Art near the Old Town
Street food
The area surrounding the City Temple in Old Town
The Nine Zig-Zag Bridge with wall-to-wall people
Creating a rubber stamp for Chinese characters
Back at the Bund, and the rain had really started to come down by now
My fitbit had 15K steps after the day.
