Feb 24 Antarctica Paradise Bay

We've made it to the bottom of the world...or at least as close as we're ever going to go. We made it to 65 degrees south. Any further would have required a dog sled.

Not a lot of commentary. We just cruised through the fjords along the peninsula of Antarctica, but still mainland. It helps to enjoy the pictures if you imagine it being VERY COLD and VERY WINDY as you look at them. Eye watering cold.

Lots of whales about, but they barely showed above the surface.

I've only included the pictures of odd shaped icebergs. The ones that look like big ice cubes didn't make the cut.
What must have been a very cold ride on a RHIB.

More whales

Penguins, enjoying the summer weather on an iceberg.

Penguin synchronized swimming

It was a sunny day, but the sun at 65 south just doesn't cut it.
