May 27 Bora Bora
French Polynesia just doesn't disappoint. The major difference with this port is that we had to tender from the ship to the port. But it was blissfully calm, and the ride was short from ship to shore.
This was NOT the tender
While walking around the very small town we saw a pickup truck carrying these woven mats.
Definitely French Polynesia
We took the catamaran/snorkeling trip down to the southern end of Bora Bora
Waves breaking over the distant reef keeps the lagoon very calm. Also protects from a tsunami.
We were under sail for part of the way coming back. Doesn't get much better.
