Today was the beginning of our lap of southern Colorado. Following the scenic roads we are aiming to loop around Colorado south of I70.
We've been to Pike's Peak and taken the train to the top. This time we made our first visit to Garden of the Gods, and it was like visiting Arches National Park with its fins of red sandstone.

Then up and over Wilkerson Pass, 9504 feet.
Viewed from the pass, this is South Park. No cartoon characters were sighted.
Fall officially arrives in 2 days. The aspen has a head start.
Between the Courtyard by Marriott and the Residence Inn was a station for suckling Teslas.
