A couple of days on the road as we cross a lot of the United States to get to Colorado. Our previously scheduled trip "started" in Durango CO with a trip on the Durango Silverton narrow gauge railroad. Since we're running about 4 days ahead, we've added some additional stops in CO.
An early morning strafing run by a crop duster
Our trip has been "Merge on to I40, drive west". We encounter parts of the West and their history.
In Texas, near Amarillo, we depart I40 and take to state highways. No real loss, as they go straight as far as you can see with a speed limit of 75mph.
We arrive in Alamosa CO. The sign in the hotel suggests a new world.
