Thurs Sept 11  Seattle

Up before dawn so we could take pictures.  Not a cloud in the sky and the mountain looked massive and bulky.  Distinctive in the morning light.

We even drove back to the reflecting lakes for another try. This time the cold wind stirred up the lake and there was little reflection.  Also other things worth viewing.

Stopped at the Seattle Museum of Flight rather than arriving early at the hotel.  They have a well done exhibit.  A docent explained that they are the "largest non-governmental air museum".  Parsing his statement, I'm guessing that the Smithsonian, Air Force and Navy Museums are probably larger.  Seattle's is still worth visiting, if just to watch the planes using Boeing Field right next door.  The biggest weakness is in their space hardware, but they're investing in it now.

Our hotel is Inn at the Market, overlooking the Pike Street Market with its flying fish and offerings of all kinds.

The view from the hotel deck was also pretty good.  A nice place to stay.
Centurylink and Safeco fields, football and baseball respectively.
 Dusk from the hotel deck
