May 9 Red Sea

As we chug along through pirate infested waters (none seen, none expected) for four days there have been some diversions. These are Oceania staples that Cruise Directors pull out whenever there's a stretch of sea days.

Yesterday was a brunch in the Grand Dining Room.  It was elegant, but didn't entice us.  It was the same things that you can get most days plus the best deserts from their bakery.
Servers at the buffet when Cynthia went to take pictures

Plamen, a sommelier from Bulgaria, who serves Cynthia her morning Americano (Terrace)
Oceania's all grown up now.  In a year they can get a learner's permit for driving.
We have constant lookouts on Deck 5 watching the horizon.  I wonder why they're not on Deck 10?  It's higher up, better viewing.  Maybe it's because Deck 5 is in shade.  And it's hot out there.  Or maybe it's because they're less visible on Deck 5 rather than looming over the pool area and disturbing the passengers.
A Cruise Director favorite, Officers Challenge for Big O points.  To the Olympic Theme music select officers arrive to battle us common folk in simple games.  You beat an officer, you win Big O points. At the end of the cruise you can trade your Big O points for swag like visors and T-shirts.  There were long lines at each competitive venue.
The  cruise director staff (singers in the production shows) arrive to mediate the games.

 Cruise Director Julie excited
Our Captain Drazen Tijan (which I can type but not say) shows some passengers that we've turned the corner and are now heading up the Red Sea.
Human Resources Officer Inna was a ringer at the Ping Pong table.  (ATW guys....from just her serve her competitors knew they were dead meat.... cb)
Not sure what this one is named, but you attempt to toss monkey beanie babies into the life ring.  Assistant Cruise Director Lisa Jeanne (an excellent Broadway style singer) shows her  abilities by fielding the throws .

General Manager Yves, not a ringer

Food and Beverage Manager using body english without effect.
