January 14 -- Bridgetown, Barbados
Another day walking through a Caribbean city. Today was a changeover day, with one cruise segment ending and another beginning. We felt it desirable to get off the boat and avoid the crowds.
Here's St.Mary's Church, complete with bell tower.
Not a church, this is a government building, and the peppers are just pretty.
St. Michael's Cathedral, and one of the bridges over the Constitution River, from which the town gets its name.
We got as far south as Browne's Beach, which included human and equine bathers. They bring the race horses here for exercise and a bath, then truck them back to the track about 5 miles away.
Other interesting photos: A pink garbage truck, and a shaved ice vendor being attacked by bees for the sweet syrup.
Back at the ship we were surrounded by large sailing ships. Cynthia is all set to go on one of them.

Pictures continue to be amazing!
We love Barbados. The past couple of times, we used public transportation to get to a beach where hubby was able to swim with the turtles. He still rates those swims at the top of his travel memories.
