Our dear friend and traveling companion on this cruise died on board today. I thought perhaps everyone who reads this might like to see Don having a great time. I know this is how I want to remember him.

Very nice tribute. I never met Don in person, but appreciated his CC presence very much.
So sad when saw the posting on the CC board. makes our trauma and departure on day 4 seem so trivial.
It is so sad to read of Don's passing. I have been enjoying his blog and he and Betsy seemed to be having a wonderful time. I have followed his postings on C.C. for many years. I do hope he didn't suffer and that Betsy has been looked after by everyone.

We have had the pleasure of knowing, cruising and being friends with Don and Betsy. It was one of the many gifts which Oceania cruises has given us during the many years we have cruised with this wonderful cruise line. Don will be greatly missed. The only meager comfort is that he was able to enjoy part of this cruise and fulfill his dream of going to Africa.
