Oct 22 St John, New Brunswick

We take our travel to the international level by entering Canada! St John is a small town known for its proximity to the Bay of Fundy and the highest tides in the world. Our excursion was labeled "Bay of Fundy Coastal Photography" so we went to photogenic places, three of them.

First up was a beach,  several miles from town. Lots of artistic images because it's a photography tour.

Second stop was a lighthouse.
Third stop was the reversing falls. The tide varies by such a large amount that the river flows upstream during high tide. The tide was nearing high when we were at the falls, so the river was going upstream.
Nature finds a way. In the swirling waters of the rapids there's food to be found.

Unfortunately there was a pulp mill on the opposite bank of the river, so sweeping panoramas would just capture an industrial plant. But it's a cute little place.
