June 30 Barcelona

Back to Barcelona. We were just here last summer and visited the Sagrada Familia and walked the Ramblas so we had no plans other than just wandering about.

Here's the advantage of traveling on the small ships (680 passengers). We docked nearly at the foot the Ramblas, which is where you can see the statue of Columbus, pointing westward for exploration. Last year, visiting on the ship Marina (1250 passengers) we docked a few miles away and bused to this point visit the city.

Early on a Monday morning, not too many people out. And this will be a HOT one again.

The tiling of the Ramblas pavement makes it seem like it's full of hills and valleys, but it's flat.
Cathedral of Barcelona. It costs money to go inside, so this is the only picture.
Returning to the ship you can see the tower which holds the cable car running above the city.

Love all the tiles or payment in Spain. Yes sometimes your brain thinks it’s going down or up hill.
